MINAs is a digital pop group.
The sound moves through J-pop and J-rock, through dance — trance, techno, rave, house — and through the classic City Pop of the 1980s and 1990s.
The name comes from the Japanese minna (みんな): everyone, all of us. MINA also sits close to familiar Japanese girls’ names — Mina, Mimi, Nami, Minami, Nana, Nanami. The final s makes it plural. MINAs is many girls, held as one voice.
